For hotels, if you stay at the official Disney hotels on site then you get free transport around the theme parks, plus extended special hours in the parks when they are only open to hotel guests!
At Universal Studios, again if you stay at some of their onsite hotels you get special extra benefits including free Universal Express fastpass system letting you bypass most of the ride queues!
